YouthCare Letter to Providers - Continuity of Care
Date: 04/06/20
Dear HealthCare Provider,
YouthCare is the HealthChoice Illinois Health Plan designed for current and former youth in Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) custody, ages birth through 21.
You do not need to be contracted with YouthCare in order to treat children who are enrolled in YouthCare. Through a specialized Continuity of Care process for YouthCare, we have an open network until September 30, 2020, which means your claims for covered Medicaid services will be paid. UPDATE – The Continuity of Care period has been extended to February 28, 2021.
In an effort to ensure continuity of care for all youth, you do not need to submit a request for authorization for outpatient services. These services include, but are not limited to:
- Outpatient procedures
- Office visits
- PT/ST/OT
- Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
- Pre-scheduled surgeries
To learn more about submitting claims to YouthCare, please review the billing instructions in our Provider Manual located at www.ILYouthCare.com.
If you have questions about YouthCare, please contact our Rapid Response Team at 844-289-2264 or email us at ILYouthCare@centene.com.
Sincerely,
